change movements. Over the last few years, hashtag movements have seen wide international
coverage: #Me Too, #NeverAgain, and #BlackLivesMatter, to name a few. While hashtag
activism has allowed for mobilization of various movements, critics note that hashtag activism’s
effects are not long standing.
