Three of the sources will be provided and you will be able to choose the other two sources about the history of Iran from 1815-present day
As part of the larger research project this semester, students will complete an annotated bibliography. The annotated bibliography will consist of secondary sources (only two can be online sources, the other three need to be published books or scholarly articles). Each source needs to be properly cited using Chicago format (https://www.rollins.edu/history/writing-college-history-papers/citations-and-plagiarism.html), and for each source students should include one paragraph explaining why you chose the source, how the source will contribute to the student’s overall understanding of the history of the country, and explain how the source fits in with the other sources consulted. In addition to submitting your assignment online, you will also need to bring a copy of your annotated bibliography to class. I will grade the copy that you hand in, but an online submission is still required. You will be graded on the following:

Analysis: students should explain the relevance of each source to their research paper. Think about the following: how might this source help me understand the topic I am researching? What are the strengths of this source? What are the shortcomings? How does this source relate to others on my list?
