What is the purpose of the visual and who is the audience?
This exercise asks you to analyze a visual to develop your ability to think critically about the visuals you’ll design for your project.
Instructions
Go online, and find a data visualization (a bar graph, a pie chart, or a line graph, etc.) to analyze. The visual should represent quantitative (numerical) data. The visual can be one you consider good or flawed. Once you’ve selected a data visualization, analyze your visual by answering the following questions:
What type of visual is it?
Is the visual appropriate for the type of data? Why or why not?
What is the purpose of the visual and who is the audience? How do you know?
Is the color use effective or distracting? Why?
Does the design of the visual contribute to or detract from the clarity and accuracy of the visual? What specific elements support your conclusion?
Include your chosen data visualization as well as your answers to the above questions in your submission. PLEASE BE A USA WEBSITE
